Hawaii Big Island
Photo Workshop
September 2-6, 2013
The first time I peered into Hawaii’s Kilauea Caldera glowing beneath a sea of stars, I knew I needed to do a workshop here. This urge was bolstered by subsequent visits to the black volcanic beaches, lush jungles, and plummeting waterfalls that seem ubiquitous on Hawaii’s Big Island.
Given that my scouting trips uncovered more locations to photograph than time to do it, it’s hard to pinpoint a highlight. But, in no particular order, here are a few images from some of my favorite locations (in addition to the image of Kilauea beneath Milky Way above):

Fire on High, Kilauea and Milky Way, Hawaii

Raindrops on Orchid, Lava Tree State Park, Hawaii
Want more? You can experience it all firsthand in my 2013 Hawaii workshop, September 2-6.
