Tropical Sunset, Ke’e Beach, Kauai, Hawaii

Tropical Sunset, Ke'e Beach, Kauai, Hawaii

I think what I most love about Hawaii beaches is the consistent mix of clouds and sky. Or maybe it’s the rich turquoise water. No, it’s the perfect waves against the fine sand and volcanic rock. I don’t know–maybe it’s just the fact that I can photograph here at any time of day or year in my shorts and flip-flops. Whatever the draw of Hawaii, I found it all here at Ke’e Beach at the end of the road in Kauai. In this image I used a symmetrical composition to convey the emotional balance and utter sense of wellbeing washing over me at that moment.

  1. I like all the pictures in your blog but this is definitely my personal favorite!

  2. Ok love your pictures, especially this one. I might be a little biased because Kauai is my favorite place in the entire world. But I really enjoy your blog.
